Hurricane Harvey is an active tropical cyclone that is causing unprecedented and catastrophic flooding. Over a four-day period, many areas received more than 40 in of rain as the system meandered over eastern Texas and adjacent waters. With peak accumulations of 51.88 in, Harvey is the wettest tropical cyclone on record in the contiguous United States. The resulting floods prompted more than 13,000 rescues, displaced more than 30,000 people, and inundated hundreds of thousands of homes. Hurricane Harvey Fund makes equal donations to Houston Food Bank, Houston Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross and Direct Relief.

This year's devastating hurricane and wildfire seasons has left many people without basic necessities - a roof over their heads, food to eat, and warm clothing for the winter months. The nonprofits chosen for the U.S. Disaster Relief Fund focuses on supporting nonprofits who are on the ground providing food and nutrition to the affected communities in California, Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico.

The people of the State of Texas have been through a rough time as of late. COVID-19 has infected over 2.66M people and impacted the lives of many more. In addition Winter Storm Uri left many without power and reliable sources of food or water. The storm also caused an estimated 200B+ in property damage than many of us personally experienced. Service has long been a part of the VMware culture under the Community pillar of Epic2. Over 1,500 VMware + 20,000 Dell Technologies employees, thousands of our partners, and customers call Texas home. Our Texas community needs our help and support. When we lift up our neighbors ALL of us rise. We're launching campaign #StandUp4Texas with the goal of completing as many service learning hours as possible and donating as much money as we can to charities aimed at helping the people of Texas get back on their feet. As the holiday season approaches and individuals and families face reduced access to essential public assistance programs, hunger relief organizations and local agencies are hard at work to address heightened needs in their communities. Your donation to this Fund will help the following nonprofits distribute fresh food to those in need throughout the state of Texas.
