One Laboratory, Thousands of Children’s Lives Fund
A child with leukemia does not have time to wait. While researchers continue searching for better treatments, thousands of children around the world are fighting for their lives every single day. Some will respond to treatment. Some will not. For children whose cancer returns or becomes resistant to conventional therapies, advanced treatments such as CAR-T cell therapy and cellular immunotherapies may represent one of the last remaining hopes. But hope cannot exist without the infrastructure that makes these treatments possible. That is why LÖSEV is working to establish a GMP Laboratory operating at international standards. This laboratory is more than a facility. It is where science becomes hope. It is where innovative therapies can move from research to real treatment. It is where children who have run out of options may be given another chance. Every breakthrough treatment begins somewhere. Celebrating the Life of Mr. Averell Eisner Father of Ken Eisner, Managing Director, Global Higher Education to Workforce and K-16 Skills Averell Eisner, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and lifelong problem-solver, passed away on February 20, 2026. He was born on February 14, 1942, in Perth Amboy, NJ, and grew up in Highland Park, NJ. From an early age, he displayed a deep love of math and science - the foundation of a life spent at the frontier of technology. He attended Rutgers Preparatory School and later graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, carrying with him a disciplined, analytical mindset that would define both his career and his approach to life. Brain Chemistry Labs was an organization near and dear to Mr. Eisner. Please read below to learn more about the organization. Ethnomedicine (dba Brain Chem Labs) We have only one wish at the Institute for Ethnomedicine (dba Brain Chem Labs): to discover new treatments for serious illnesses. This focus has led to the discovery of two promising new drugs for ALS, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and other tangle diseases. We have a third drug in development. Our novel path to discovery has been exciting. Each step of this path, beginning in Guam, has brought us closer to a cure. What Brain Chem Labs (BCL) has accomplished over the last decade is truly remarkable with the advancement of discovery to development. The combination of innovative environmental field research and in-lab analysis has provided much hope for those suffering from these diseases and their families. BCL’s diligent staff and highly capable scientific team cannot be sufficiently acknowledged or thanked for their insights and amazing discoveries into disease processes that have the potential to significantly improve the outcome of patients and impact on the world for good. Their willingness to collaborate with an international consortium of multi-disciplinary scientists toward major achievements and advances, despite a modest budget, is inspiring. It has been an outstanding year of donor support allowing significant progress scientifically.
